What Is Vitiligo?
Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder that destroys the cells responsible for producing pigment. This results in white patches of skin appearing on different areas of the body and the hair that grows in those affected areas usually turns white.
Loss of pigment is most commonly noted first on sun-exposed areas such as hands, feet, arms, face, or lips.
